Common Questions

  • Isn't it enough to simply rely on the polling place to inform us of any changes to their site?

No.  Elections officials cannot assume the polling location has done a complete ADA survey, even if they checked a "compliant" box on a form.

  • Can't I just use last year's ADA report?

Just as elections change, so do the intricacies of each polling place.  Best practice nationwide is to conduct a thorough survey before each election cycle.

  • C'mon. Who is actually going to scrutinize our ADA accessibility in a presidential election year?

Campaigns, advocacy groups, law firms, DOJ, the media, voters, etc.
